Meredith Hurston is respected voice in healthcare with over 17 years of experience in clinical laboratory science, patient safety and healthcare quality assurance. She served in a critical capacity as a healthcare advocate and caregiver for her Mom for many years. At the convergence of those 2 backgrounds, she realized a unique opportunity to share her valuable experiences with others and help improve their encounters with healthcare.

Meredith started empoweredmochapatient.com over 3 years ago in tribute to her Mom’s life, with a larger vision to help people of color close the gap in health disparities. She recently launched the Take Charge Of Your Own Health podcast to expand her reach onto the airwaves.
